The Lake Planning program is supported by a partnership between FOCA and the Haliburton Highlands Stewardship Council with funding from the Ontario Trillium Foundation.
The goals of the Lake Planning program are to:
“Lake planning is a strategic process that provides the opportunity to engage all people, governments and business operators to develop and implement actions to maintain or improve the natural and social qualities of life on our lakes, rivers and shoreline communities.”
The Ontario Trillium Foundation provided a generous grant for the program and French Planning Services provided knowledge and experience for compiling the content of the Lake Planning Handbook for Community Groups.
The Lake Planning Handbook for Community Groups is a 65 page “self help” guide for waterfront groups that will assist them with their lake planning initiatives. The content has been compiled from the experience and resources provided by over 40 associations across Ontario. It comes with an electronic resource that contains examples of lake plans, surveys, presentations, workshops, and more. Click here to order your copy today.
