February, 2015 – Ontario has launched an online tool that gives the public the opportunity to provide input and ideas on the government’s budgeting priorities.
More information about the process, and how you can provide your input (by February 13, 2015) can be found at: http://www.fin.gov.on.ca/en/consultations/prebud/
This is a new way for the public to provide input on what’s important to them and how they would like to see public dollars spent. According to the Province, this feedback will help the government understand Ontarians’ needs, and how to prioritize services and initiatives that meet those needs.
FOCA has contributed remarks related to the budget-setting process in the FOCA Pre Budget Presentation to the Minister of Finance Feb 2015.
The Ontario Budget will be a top priority as the MPP’s resume sitting this February.
