FOCA is once again pleased to support and participate in the Lake Links Workshop, taking place in Perth on Saturday, October 22nd, 2016.
This year’s workshop is titled: Every Waterfront Matters: You Can Make a Difference!

The workshop will explore trends in the ownership of shoreline properties in eastern Ontario, with a special focus on what those trends may mean in terms of fostering lake stewardship actions across generations. In the afternoon, learn about practical tools and approaches you can use to bolster the effectiveness of your communications and outreach to shoreline property owners.
FOCA’s Executive Director, Terry Rees, will be one of the day’s speakers, on provincial trends in waterfront ownership. FOCA will also have a display table of materials available for attendees. FOCA is pleased to once again be a financial supporter of Lake Links.

About Lake Links:
This annual event brings together over 100 participants from Eastern Ontario including citizens, representatives from over 40 local lake and river associations, government and non-governmental organizations and other stakeholders. Every year we share ways we can all protect what makes our communities unique – our lakes.
The workshop is always a great networking opportunity, and includes displays and exhibits that provide participants with valuable lake steward information.
